
Maharashtra's cabinet has approved the Electric Vehicle Policy 2025, allocating ₹1,993 crore to promote EV adoption and local manufacturing. The policy offers subsidies on EV purchases, up to 15% for cargo vehicles, and waives registration fees. Furthermore, it includes toll exemptions on major highways and plans to establish charging stations every 25 kilometers to encourage long-distance EV travel.
